Bishop Emory B. James D. Min
Bishop Emory B. James was called to the ministry in 1975. He organized his current Pastorate, Ephesians New Testament Church, which he has successfully served as Pastor for 35 years. Ephesians New Testament Church started with 12 members in 1985 at the home of Bishop Emory and Venice James. On September 15th the church officially organized with an Installation Service held at Juniper Avenue SDA Church in the community of Fontana. During this time he organized the Praise Kitchen, which served 400 meals per month from donated surplus foods. Served as the President of the Fontana Ministerial Association and organized a feeding program called Fontana We Care, an assistant living facility called the Olive Branch Transitional Housing Project for the City of Fontana. Pastor James has received many awards for outstanding service to the County of San Bernardino, City of Fontana, and the State of California for community service.
Bishop James has received his earned Doctorate of Ministry from Rhema Life Theological School, a honorary Doctorate From Next Dimension University, Masters Rhema Life Theological School, BS Degree California State University Northridge.
Pastor James is also a recording artist; having recorded and released two projects, “You’ve Been My Friend,” released in 1989 and his latest release, “EB James Live,” A collection, released April 2003. He also recorded a video entitled, “Celebrating with Family,” released 1997. Pastor James is a Published author his literary work "The Small Church in the Mind of God." Bishop's ministry has stretched from Hawaii to Florida. He has ministered in New York, Ohio, Washington D.C., and Nevada during the last 45 years in ministry.
Pastor James has been married to Venice, his wife of 44 years. They have two children; a daughter, Enice, and a son Emory Jr. Enice Completed her graduate work at Azusa Pacific University with a Phd in Education with emphasis in Curriculum Development and Instruction. His son, Emory Jr. attended Grambling State University in Louisiana majoring in Public Administration and Music and has returned to complete his bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in music at Azusa Pacific University.
